Ingredients:
- 1 double crust pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
- 8 cups thinly sliced, peeled apples (about 8 medium apples)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix until well combined.
