Databases & Web Development portfolio
Biomedical Scientist and MSc student in Bioinformatics for Health Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona. My background combines wet-lab research with computational approaches — from cancer research on the c-Src proto-oncogene to working with omics datasets using R and Python.
I enjoy exploring data to uncover patterns, question assumptions, and translate complex results into meaningful insights. I'm particularly drawn to the intersection between biology, data analysis, and real-world biomedical applications.
This portfolio is part of the Databases & Web Development (DBW) course, showcasing a Clustal-Omega web app and a clinical trials data model.
Individual exercises and project for DBW 2025–26.
PHP-based web interface for multiple sequence alignments. Supports FASTA sequences, UniProt IDs, PDB IDs, and file uploads with automatic format recognition, validation, and downloadable results.
Launch Application EXERCISE 03Relational database design for clinical study data, pseudonymized participants, longitudinal measurements, and role-based access control.
View Documentation EXERCISE 01Magnifier automates a four-stage bioinformatics workflow through a web interface. After uploading gene expression and VCF data, it runs Differential Expression Analysis, Variant Effect Prediction, and data integration asynchronously to produce a final contingency table, while allowing users to monitor progress and download results.
Coming SoonFrom biomedical research to computational biology.
Programming languages, bioinformatics tools, and platforms.
A glimpse into what I enjoy outside of science.
I'm always open to discussing research, new projects, or opportunities.
