Running • Science • Barcelona
I studied Biotechnology Engineering and now I'm doing a Master in Bioinformatics and Health Sciences at UPF in Barcelona. Somewhere along the way I fell in love with the computational side, protein structures, binding site prediction, machine learning applied to biology. Most of my days involve Python, R, PDB files, and way too many terminal windows.
Right now I'm working on things like ligand binding pocket detection and clinical data modeling, problems that sit right at the intersection of biology and data, which is exactly where I want to be.
But when I close the laptop, I run.
No algorithms, no models, no debugging. Just Barcelona at 7am, before the city wakes up. Running keeps me sane. It's the one thing that I do to disconnect from everything.
This site is where I track both worlds, the science and the kilometers. Because training a model and training for a race take the same thing: showing up every day.
Academic and personal projects from my Bioinformatics degree at UPF.
Web application to perform multiple sequence alignment. Supports FASTA, UniProt IDs, and PDB IDs. Runs on the UPF course server with output formatting.
View on ServerRelational database design built in MySQL for a hospital clinical trials support service. Features pseudonymized participant management with auto-generated IDs, longitudinal data collection across visits, dynamic per-study variable definitions, and multi-role user access scoped per trial.
View ER Diagram Download ModelMagnifier automates a four-stage bioinformatics workflow by allowing users to manage genomic projects through a web interface. Once gene expression and VCF datasets are uploaded, the system triggers an asynchronous pipeline that sequentially executes Differential Expression Analysis (DEA), Variant Effect Prediction (VEP), and Data Integration to generate a final contingency table. This background architecture ensures a responsive experience, allowing users to monitor progress in real time and download results as soon as they are finalized.
Open AppA geometry driven pipeline that identifies and ranks potential ligand binding pockets directly from protein PDB files. Uses surface depth, curvature and DBSCAN clustering.
