  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour apple mixture into the pie crust. Dot the top with pieces of butter.
  4. Place the second pie crust over the filling. Trim and crimp the edges to seal the pie.
  5. Brush the top crust with beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
