About Me

Bridging Science and Data for Personalized Healthcare

Microbiology

My journey in science began with a Bachelor's in Microbiology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where I explored the world of microorganisms and their impact on human health. During my time at Sant Pau Hospital, I worked on the MICROMON Project, researching antibiotic resistance—one of modern medicine's greatest challenges. This experience deepened my interest in how scientific research directly influences healthcare outcomes.

I further expanded my lab skills at the Institute of Biotechnology and Biomedicine, applying molecular biology techniques and conducting antimicrobial testing, which strengthened my understanding of translating lab research into real-world applications.

Bioinformatics

Eager to make a broader impact, I pursued a Master’s in Bioinformatics for Health Sciences at Pompeu Fabra University. Here, I am developing strong skills in Python, R, and Machine Learning, learning how to analyze complex biological data. My focus now is on leveraging computational approaches to support the development of personalized treatments, combining scientific research with data-driven insights to improve patient care.
