I’m Martí, and curiosity has always been a defining part of who I am. Looking back, studying Marine Sciences felt like a natural choice, as it is a discipline that brings together many different fields. However, my enduring passion has always been biology. As I got more into the computational world during my studies, I became more and more drawn to Bioinformatics and decided to explore where it could take me.
My appreciation for nature has always been deep. Walking in the mountains or trekking through nature reserves, being outdoors is something that I really enjoy. That said, you don’t always have to travel far to encounter nature, and wildlife it’s often much closer than we realize.
This web page aims to share a bit of the appreciation for wildlife around us through my dad’s photos. He is a keen biologist with a particular interest in recording the wildlife within our area, and his images are the heart of this site. Although these photos have been taken in a small town, flora and fauna can be found even in big cities like Barcelona—sometimes overlooked, but always there, waiting to be noticed.
